Yoga classes on the beach
Although summer is now almost behind us, the sunny days are still here. It is the perfect time to go to the beach what with the pleasant air and water temperatures and the peace and quiet since people are now back at school or at work. The quiet is suitable for swimming or sunbathing of course. But also why not physical exercise, in particular yoga?
Originally from India, created over 5,000 years ago, yoga consists of physical exercises that combine physical postures, breathing and meditation practices, as well as deep relaxation. "Soft" gymnastics that slowly but surely strengthen your body and mind with a view to improving your well-being. A practice that is increasingly popular with women in their thirties, since it combines physical exercise with knowledge of oneself and one's body, all in a state of mind imbued with serenity.
Serenity is even easier to find in a calm, natural and soothing setting, such as a beach. Indeed, it is no coincidence that many practitioners meet up at the seaside for their daily or weekly sessions. Ideally, the setting should be in keeping with the principles of yoga, which is the case for beaches, especially in the morning, when the temperatures are cooler and when it will be almost deserted, especially at the end of summer. It is a relaxing activity that ideally can be enjoyed sitting comfortably on the sand.
Zen after the beach
Are you on vacation in a seaside town? Do you live near the sea and want to keep in shape while doing some gentle activity and enjoying the beach before the first cold snap of winter? Then yoga is for you.
